The Manifesto.

Brokerage technology is fundamentally broken. Vendors are extracting margin while delivering friction. It stops now.

1. You are not a tech company. (And that's fine.)

Stop trying to build a Zillow-killer. Your competitive advantage is local relationships, market knowledge, and agent culture. Technology should be an invisible multiplier for those assets, not a distraction from them. Buy best-in-class components, build the connective tissue.

2. "All-in-one" is a lie.

Platforms that claim to do CRM, websites, transaction management, marketing, and accounting do all of them poorly. They lock up your data and force your top producers to use substandard tools. Demand open APIs. Build a modular stack.

3. Data sovereignty is non-negotiable.

If you cannot export your entire database, complete with interaction history and custom fields, in a clean format within 24 hours—you do not own your business. The vendor does. Never sign a contract without reviewing the API documentation and data export clauses.

4. Adoption is the only metric that matters.

It doesn't matter if the software uses AI, blockchain, or magic dust. If it requires 14 clicks to log a call, an agent will not use it. User experience is ROI. Everything else is a vanity metric.

The Solution

Treat your tech stack like an investment portfolio, not a shopping list. Audit it ruthlessly. Connect it intelligently. Measure it brutally.
